Exposure Osmunda regaliscontinental : We can grow the the Osmunda regalis in a place where it can receive a few hours a day of direct sunlight, but where it is protected from the sun during most of the day. alpine : Locate this plant in a partially shaded place, where it can receive a few hous of direct solar light. mediterranean : We suggest a pretty sheltered location, so that the plant can receive direct solar rays only during the coolest hours of the day. continental : We advise leaving the ground prevalently dry, watering from time to time, every 10-11 days; if there are intense rains and the weather is quite cold we can reduce the watering even more. Usually 1-2 buckets of water are used. alpine : We suggest watering rarely, such as every 10-11 days with 0-1 buckets of water, but only when the weather is mild, and the substratum has been dry for days. mediterranean : During this time of year we suggest watering only once in a while using 2-3 buckets of water, leaving the soil dry for a few days before watering it again. If the weather is cold irrigate rarely. Between one watering and the other 10-11 days should go by. Treatments Osmunda regalis : During the cold months many pathogens spend the winter in the ground, at the feet of our plants; let’s treat the plants struck by black spot disease or by leaf curl disease with particular attention by applying a wide-range anticryptogamic treatment, to vaporize even on the ground.
